Remote Controlled WowWee Rovio Robot

That thing is an affordable remote controlled robot, no way! WowWee’s new robot toy named Rovio just looks amazing at least on pictures, it is almost like something that just came out form NASA and is designed to explore the space and unknown planets. Actually we are talking about a remote controlled robot designed for patrolling your home while you are gone. The robot has some degree of autonomy, but is designed more in a way to be controller by a human. WowWee Rovio comes equipped with a WiFi connection which allows you control it from anywhere in the world given that you have a web capable mobile phone or a computer with internet connection.

Pleo – The Realistic Robot Dinosaur

Pleo is an autonomous robotic life form modeled on a one-week-old Camarasaurus dinosaur. The cute-looking robot is designed to mimic life which means Pleo thinks and acts independently, just like a real animal would do. This cool R2-D2 robot replica from the Star Wars movie series accepts voice commands, navigates around the room will make your home feel like a true Star Wars movie decor. The voice activated R2-D2 can recognize more than 40 different voice commands such as “Turn around!” or “Move forward two units!” or play a game of tag with you, using its built-in infrared sensors. Bandai Tachikoma Electronic Robot

The Ghost in the Shell movies and the two anime series were admired by a lot of people around the globe, along with the Japanese cyberpunk manga created by Masamune Shirow. Now you surely have watched them and remember the cute and a bit weird tanks called Tachikoma in the Standalone Complex series. Amongst a myriad of plastic creatures/chisels accessible for fans, Bandai has plans to sell a remote controlled Tachikoma in Japan beginning February. The Robot can be connected to your computer via USB. The witty robot would be able to read your email, to create and process applications and fortunately now you can play mini games with it developed by Bandai.

The Tachikomas are expected to start shipping in February 2008 with a price of $199.99 and you can pre-order yourself one of them even if you don’t live in Japan.
