Myka the BitTorrent Aduio/Video TV Player

Myka is a new internet video player with built-in BitTorrent client for direct downloading of the multimedia files on the device. Video and audio files are downloaded from the internet on to Myka’s internal hard drive and after that these files can be played back directly to a television. Myka is controlled by a handy remote control or can be programmed remotely trough the web. This cool device has all the features you need in order to connect it directly to your new or old TV and yes there is even HDMI output as well as all the needed analog and digital sound output for your audio system. You get the option to use Ethernet cable connection to the internet or wireless network if you already have such in your home, eliminating the need to put any more network cables around.

Nearly half the size of the original, the new iPod shuffle is just half a cubic inch in volume, weighs just half an ounce and features a stunning all-new aluminum design and a built-in clip which makes it the most wearable iPod ever. The new iPod shuffle contains one gigabyte of flash memory which holds up to 240 songs, and is more affordable than ever at just $79.

10″ Portable TV/Media Player by Samsung

Samsung Electronics introduced the largest Mobile TV based on terrestrial DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) with a screen size of 10 inches to provide viewing excitement on the move. This Mobile TV will open up the era where everyone will have their own TV – one for each person.

The design of the new Mobile TV is in line with the “sensitivity design” of the company’s R7 LCD TV (Bordeaux) series. As for features, it provides high-quality video and audio based on excellent mobile receiving characteristics. It is expected to be used as a mobile digital TV at home, where it provides great picture quality free of network connections.

The largest among Mobile TVs, the 10 inch screen is configured for the 16:9 aspect ratio that is optimal for showing digital broadcasting. MP3 and digital photo viewing functions are added, and connection to an external HDD is provided for playing downloaded multimedia content.

GOM Media Player

This Korean freeware media player grabbed my attention because of its simplicity of installation and use, packing at the same time more than enough features. It works like a charm for all the novice users, but also offers a lot of advanced features for advanced users (almost everything that Media Player Classic has and even a few additional options).

The best part is that GOM Player supports most of the codecs (AVI, DAT, MPEG, DivX and lots more) by its own embedded codec system, so you don’t have to look for appropriate codecs every time when you can’t play a certain video format or install any codec before or after the player is installed. Of course if you need to play some very exotic file format you’ll have to install the appropriate codec for it.

Another cool part in this player is the ability to play broken or incomplete AVI video files. Or in other words you can preview the downloaded part of a file and not have to wait for it to be completed in order … [ Read the rest of the story ]
