TEMPO is a concept design for an unique external hard drive storage device in the form of a miniature recycle bin. It is intended to protect the user from accidentally deleting files or as an external storage device. As you delete files, they are automatically moved to the TEMPO device, so that if you incidentally delete a needed file you can recover it. And as the device fills up, leds light the “can” from the bottom up, visually informing you of how much free space is available.

As for the technical details, they are still quite sketchy. It seems that the hard drive will be 250GB in size and Bluetooth interface will be used for transferring files. The device should be compatible with both Windows and Mac computers. Maybe the only drawback in the idea will be the Bluetooth that is quite slow when transferring large amounts of data, especially when we are talking about multimedia files with sizes of hundred megabytes or even gigabytes. Now you have a choice – You do not have to feel like a cyborg with a bluetooth headset in your ear all day. You can wear it on your wrist as your watch and only place it in your ear when you have a call. You can have the convenience of a bluetooth but the freedom of not having it attached to your ear at all times.

When there is an incoming call, you simply detach the hands free unit and, with its soft rubber ear piece, use it as a normal earphone. When the call ends the hands free unit can be re-attached onto the strap, providing maximum comfort as you do not need to wear the main unit on your ear at all times. Also you need not worry about misplacing your Bluetooth – it’s always at your wrist and can be used on outgoing calls like any other bluetooth headset.

There are 2 models available – Analog and Digital with a few color choices for each…

Most phones now have a camera and can run Java, there is no reason that some software couldn’t be written to watch for movement in the camera, and translate that into mouse signals for the PC. Bluetooth could be used to send the data to the PC. So there was the challenge, a java program that took multiple frames from the nokia camera, translated that into direction and speed and sent it to the PC as mouse movements.

The software that is being used is still not available for download!
