The new Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W3 digital camera will allow you to capture 3D HD movies in 720p resolution as well as still photos with up to 10 megapixel resolution. And thanks to the 2 sets of lens and sensors in the camera the capture process works in the same way as human eyes do. Our ability to perceive depth comes from viewing an object along two different lines of sight with this phenomenon called parallax. The FinePix REAL 3D W3 is fitted with two lenses to capture realistic images that are unchanged from how human eyes see them with a little difference coming from the fact that the two lenses on the camera are slightly more apart from each other than our eyes normally are. This is done in order to get better results in terms of depth when shooting panoramas or objects that are more distant.

A great plus on the camera is the fact that you can see your 3D movies and photos in real 3D without the need for special glasses thanks to the large 3.5-inch autostereoscopic 3D LCD screen with high-resolution and high-contrast. See it in all its glory with your own eyes and then just transfer the photos and movies to your computer and watch them on a higher resolution and screen size for optimal enjoyment. You can also connect your W3 camera to a 3D-capable HDTV using a HDMI 1.4 interface and sit back and enjoy all your photos and home movies in amazing high definition 3D.

Fujifilm FinePix REAL 3D W1 is a Stereo 3D Digital Camera

The interest in 3D Stereo solutions is continuing to grow lately and one of the products that a lot of people expect is the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1 digital camera that can record both in 2D and in 3D (still images and movies). The Real 3D W1 camera uses two separate Fujinon lenses along with two 10 megapixel CCD sensors to be able to simultaneously take two images just like the eyes of a normal human see everything. The two images can then be combined into a 3D stereo picture with the help of the RP (Real Photo) Processor 3D or into a 3D stereo video clip with resolution of up to 640×480. On the back of the camera you’ll find a 2.8-inch LCD screen that is capable of displaying both 2D and 3D content so that you will be able to preview the images and videos you shoot without having to worry if they are in 2D or 3D mode. Another interesting feature of the camera, when not shooting in 3D mode is the ability to take two 2D pictures with different settings in order to get the best result without having to take two different pictures one after the other. And you get all that in a compact and a good-looking camera that is very easy to use in taking both 2D or 3D images or even shooting videos…

The bad news is that the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1 digital camera is still not available and is expected to be released later this year (in September). The price of the digital camera is still not announced, but different sources cite that it should be about 600 US dollars which is not that much if you consider what you’ll be getting. Of course I still cannot say if the product will be that good as we all expect it to be, but soon we’ll probably be able to see for ourselves. Along with the FinePix Real 3D W1 digital camera Fujifilm is going to also release an 8-inch digital 3D photo viewer – FinePix Real 3D V1, but of course you should be able to view the 3D images and videos you take with Nvidia GeForce 3D Vision and other similar products.

Pentax K10D Digital SLR Camera

PENTAX Imaging Company announced today the PENTAX K10D digital SLR camera with 10.2 effective megapixels and a host of advanced technologies including a PENTAX-developed Shake Reduction (SR) system and a weather- resistant body. Designed to deliver high-quality digital images and responsive operation for advanced photo enthusiasts, the K10D features an array of PENTAX innovations in image capture and camera functionality.

The most significant features in the K10D include:

- A PENTAX-developed Shake Reduction (SR) system that effectively offers a 2.5 to 4 stop advantage for sharp, blur-free images even under difficult shooting conditions, such as macro and telephoto photography or low light settings without a flash. The SR mechanism is designed to minimize camera shake by oscillating the CCD image sensor vertically and horizontally at high speed using magnetic force, while adjusting the speed of oscillation in proportion to the amount of camera shake detected by built-in sensors. The new DSC-N2 digital camera features three-inch touch-screen display and built-in slide show capability.
