Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for Nintendo Wii

Finally the Star Wars saga continues in the new videogame Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, developed by LucasArtsIn it you’ll be casted as Darth Vader’s “Secret Apprentice” code-named “Starkiller”, but born as Galen Marek. The expansive story, created under direction from George Lucas, is set during the largely unexplored era between Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith and Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope movies. In it, you are going to assist the iconic villain in his quest to rid the universe of Jedi – and face decisions that could change the course of their destiny, as you hut down the remaining Jedi after Emperor Palpatine orders them killed.

Nintendo Wii in November/December

Nintendo announced that it will release its “Wii” game console onto the Japanese market for ?’??25,000 on December 2, 2006. Satoshi Iwata, Nintendo’s President, announced this at the company’s “Wii Preview” event held at Makuhari Messe, Japan.

The Wii package includes one dedicated Wii Remote controller and one Nunchuck remote controller with additional controllers as options, including a classic controller. Compatible software to be released coincidentally with the Wii’s launch extends to 16 titles from 10 companies, including “Wii Sports” that has already drawn attention at demonstration at exhibitions and other events, “the Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess,” which Iwata calls “the ultimate Zelda series title,” and “WarioWare: Smooth Moves” that allows users to experience and enjoy the Wii Remote controller’s unique operation through microgames. Compatible software is expected to increase to 27 titles from 14 companies, added with another 11 titles to be released within 2006.

Pink Sony PlayStation 2 in Europe

Sony Computer Entertainment Europe announced the expansion of the PlayStation 2 line-up in Europe with the introduction of a new color – Pink. The new, limited edition Pink PlayStation 2 will be available from selected retailers throughout Europe from 8th November 2006 and will come complete with two Pink Analog Controller (DUALSHOCK 2) and a Pink Memory Card (8MB) (for PlayStation 2).
