Bandai Tachikoma Electronic Robot

The Ghost in the Shell movies and the two anime series were admired by a lot of people around the globe, along with the Japanese cyberpunk manga created by Masamune Shirow. Now you surely have watched them and remember the cute and a bit weird tanks called Tachikoma in the Standalone Complex series. Amongst a myriad of plastic creatures/chisels accessible for fans, Bandai has plans to sell a remote controlled Tachikoma in Japan beginning February. The Robot can be connected to your computer via USB. The witty robot would be able to read your email, to create and process applications and fortunately now you can play mini games with it developed by Bandai.

The Tachikomas are expected to start shipping in February 2008 with a price of $199.99 and you can pre-order yourself one of them even if you don’t live in Japan.

Sony Rolly SEP-10BT Sound Entertainment Player

Do you want to be the first to own Sony’s new invention called Rolly, Sound Entertainment Player? Well now you can, but you’ll have to prepare $439.99 for the cool gadget Rolly. SEP-10BT is Sony’s new intelligent Aibo like music player. This unique, MP3 player robot gadget features 20mm active speakers that offer an output of 1.2W x 2 Channel. Similar to the much more expensive Miuro, the Rolly will also roam around your room playing back your favorite songs.

Adjusting the volume on the Rolly is very unique – hold the unit and move it clockwise to increase and counterclockwise to decrease. The player also comes with Motion editor, a software which allows you to customize the unit’s motion. Rolly’s onboard ambient lights change from blue, orange to green depending on the music playing. Built-in with a 1GB flash memory and bluetooth enabled A2DP/AVRCP for hours of fun and convenient listening experience. Rolly is not just a high end gadget, but an excellent speaker with two 180 degree vertical speakers for 360 degree of clear sound. This gadget is a one of kind robot, music player, and invention. And maybe the only drawback is its price that is quite high…

ChoroQ Qsteer Mini RC Cars

ChoroQ Qsteer Mini R/C Racers are some quite fun tiny remote controlled cars that come straight from Japan. There are to cute versions of Mazda RX-8 and Nissan 350Z available for you to choose from. Even tough they are quite small (less than two inches in length) in size the cars are quite easy and fun to control and there is even a turbo button that you can press to get them run even faster.
