A 600+ Mbps Wireless Router - The Slurpr

What would you say for a big, fat access point with a few large antennas and a bunch of Wi-Fi cards that automatically connect to the strongest wireless signals it can pick up. Then the device will combine all these signals into one FreeLoading Broadband Canal available to the user… and that is exactly what the Slurpr is supposed to be capable of.

The idea of Slurpr is to combine all the traffic from its six wireless network interfaces into one big connection which could be retransmitted into one powerfull new connection. And considering the ruter is equipped with six wireless cards capable of up to 108 Mbps each this could get you a combined speed up to 648 megabits, but only in the best possible situation. 256GB PQI 2,5″ S-ATA SSD Turbo+

Power Quotient International Co., Ltd. (PQI) officially announced a 256GB SSD Turbo+ DiskOnModule flash-drive that uses Serial ATA interface and 2,5-inch form factor. PQI’s 256GB SSD Turbo+ features transfer rates of up to 60MB/sec and is currently only available as industrial storage option. No product price for end users is yet available and this product itself may not become available to end user.

With growing popularity of flash drive hard drive due to SSD’s shock proof, high stability and low power consumption properties, SSDs have made it’s debut in some of the world’s renown PCs replacing traditional hard drives. Apart from the advantages described, SSDs also have longer average data storage time of 10 years and faster seek times compare to traditional hard drive read / write heads. PQI expects SSD to become the hard drive of the future and in 2008, SSD may replace up to 30% of traditional hard drive market.

Magnetic Viewing Paper

This paper is so intriguing because it enables you to view the varying magnetic patterns of individual magnets. Take the obscure and begin “viewing” it like it’s magic. The magnetic viewing paper is made of millions of tiny metal particles that are suspended in oil within a 20 x 50mm laminated sheet of plastic. When a magnet is placed next to this “viewing paper”, the particles become magnetized.
